Hi, my name is Jacqueline and I am from Los Angeles, California. I was born in Los Angeles, I went to college in Los Angeles – Cal State Fullerton to be exact. Where I received a degree in English Literature and Public Relations.

And then I went work for the wealth management industry in which I worked at this pretty big bank in Pasadena. Which is still in Los Angeles (county)– Los Angeles is a really big city. And I worked there for about 5 years, at this really big corporation that has about 3,000 employees.

Then I went to work at a smaller company in Santa Monica, very close to the beach in Los Angeles (county). And I was there for about three years working in the wealth management industry in Operations.

Currently I am not working in the wealth management industry anymore because I decided I wanted to make a big change in my life. I never left Los Angeles. You know, I went to school there, I grew up there, I worked there. So I’ve always been interested in living in Japan. I just love Japanese food, I love Japanese customs and culture. As you know, the United States is a very young country, maybe three or four hundred years old. The length of history and culture is just so much more condensed, so much less, (compared) to the rest of the world.

And I just love Japanese culture and food and so I decided to make a big change in my life and decided to come to Japan. As you can see right now, I am doing these kinds of videos and helping people learn more about English. In my spare time, I love to learn about Japanese food and cooking. I also like going to the gym, running, and I love watching TV and movies. I really, really like Sci-Fi and action adventure, all those kinds of things. So that’s a little about myself.
